This block with 675,390 sq ft of Gross Floor Area will be facing Jalan Sultan Ismail and the operator of the hotel will be Hard Rock Hotel. The 50-storey block comprised of 15 storeys for hotel (300 rooms), 3 storeys for the retail centre and 24 storeys for the serviced apartment known as Hard Rock Residences.
Hard Rock was established in London in 1971 and is now in over 175 locations, which include restaurants, hotels, casinos, and live music venues, in 55 countries. In Malaysia, Hard Rock Hotel has its first presence in Penang. It is well known as a hip and trendy resort with Rock Star service and frequently hold events that everyone talked about.
There will also be fashionable dining and entertainment options that combines both five-star service with a rock and roll edge that only Hard Rock Hotels can offer. Being in a centralised location in Kuala Lumpur, the hotel is minutes away from some of the region’s top attractions and business centres. For dining, Hard Rock Café has been synonymous with music, fun and great food. The retail block in this project will have 46,057 sq ft of Gross Floor Area and will house a very large Hard Rock Café and other lifestyle tenants.
This corporate office block will be in the centre of the project and will have 425,000 sq ft of Gross Floor Area. UDA will be taking up this building as its new corporate Headquarters.
The 38-storey serviced apartments will be sold to the broad market once it is launched. It will have 490,000 sq ft of Gross Floor Area and is situated at the back end of the project site. As these apartments are within walking distance to many major corporate offices including multinationals, it is expected to be sold out before the development is completed. A well known international property manager may be engaged to provide an option to buyer who may like to have their units leased out.
